
Organized in 1986, the Party
Time Band with Dave Franklin plays for dances at fraternal clubs and lodges,
veterans clubs, Octoberfests and Maifests. They've also entertained at
Cedar Rapids' Paramount Theater and Brucemore, and at national conventions,
fundraisers, wedding and anniversary celebrations, polka fests, fairs, ethnic
festivals, town celebrations and church festivals.

MEET THE BAND MEMBERS -
DAVE FRANKLIN - leader, trumpet & flugel horn
Dave has played trumpet professionally since high school, including 2 1/2 years in Chicago. A broadcaster since 1958, he is
currently a Sales Representative at 1450-KMRY, Cedar Rapids, and host of the
Sunday Morning Polka Show from 9am to noon on KMRY.
BRUCE WESTERN - tenor sax & clarinet
Bruce is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor's Degree in Music
and Master of Fine Arts in saxophone. He teaches sax at Cornell College,
has been a member of the Cedar Rapids Municipal Band for 26 years, has worked
with the Cedar Rapids Symphony Orchestra and appeared with the Nelson Riddle
Orchestra. He's a Chartered Financial Consultant with Assist Investment
Management.
WENDY
DAVIS - accordian & vocalist
Wendy was the first person to major in accordian in college in the state of
Iowa, graduating from Mt. Mercy College. She's a substitute teacher and
private accordian teacher - and an extremely creative vocalist.
JOHN
LYMAN - tuba
John graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree in industrial
education. He's a concert bassoonist as well as a tuba player.
Retired from the Cedar Rapids Community School District, he runs his own cattle
feeding operation near Belle Plaine. He's played with the Iowa State Band,
Cedar Rapids Municipal Band, Cedar Rapids Promenade Orchestra, the El Kahir
Shrine Bands and several area dance bands.
JOE
KRALIK - drums
Joe is the youngest band member, a 1995 graduate of Jefferson High School.
He attended Kirkwood Community College and dabbled in acting during his school
years. He was a stand-in for the NBC-TV movie In The Best Interests Of
The Children, and is currently a free-lance videographer. He covers
ASA auto races for the TNN cable network.
